Telecommunications and gaming fans tuning into the 2026 Formula 1 Sim Racing World Championship will see Lenovo technology at the center of all 12 rounds, as global technology powerhouse Lenovo expanded its partnership with Formula 1 to power the esports competition with Lenovo Legion gaming devices.
Lenovo will provide the championship with the Lenovo Legion Tower 5i (30L, 10) gaming desktops and Lenovo Legion Pro 32UD-10 gaming monitors, giving Sim racing drivers access to high-speed processing, high frame rates, and 4K OLED visuals designed for competitive racing.
The partnership adds sim racing to Lenovo’s growing role within Formula 1, where the company already supports race operations and broadcast delivery. The technology will also support event operations, content production, and driver performance throughout the season.
“Partnerships like this are important to our innovation cycle, providing real-world insights that continuously inform and improve the design of our products, just like F1 serves as a premier proving ground for automotive innovation,” said Volker Düring, VP & GM, PC Gaming Business of Lenovo.
“It means that when Lenovo devices reach gamers worldwide, they are not only built for performance but proven on the world stage,” Düring said.
The Lenovo Legion Tower 5i is designed for competition-level gaming performance, helping drivers maintain stable and responsive gameplay during races. Paired with the Lenovo Legion Pro 32UD-10 monitor’s 4K OLED display, the setup delivers sharper visuals, deeper contrast, and a more immersive racing experience.
The 2026 F1 Sim Racing World Championship season opened at DreamHack Birmingham in the United Kingdom from March 27 to 29. Lenovo technology now powers the remaining events hosted at Formula 1’s Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, UK, including the event held April 22 to 23.
“Expanding Formula 1’s collaboration with Lenovo to power the 2026 F1 Sim Racing World Championship marks an exciting step forward in our partnership,” said Emily Prazer, chief commercial officer of Formula 1.
“The fantastic launch at DreamHack Birmingham showcased the impact of pairing elite drivers with Lenovo Legion hardware and set a clear benchmark as the championship continues throughout the season,” she said.
All 12 rounds of the championship will be broadcast live on Formula 1’s digital platforms, with Lenovo technology supporting every race throughout the season.
