LG Electronics (LG) launched an exciting addition to its smart TVs, catering to music streaming enthusiasts. The latest update allows LG Smart TVs, including OLED and QNED models built with Dolby Atmos, to support Spatial Audio from Apple Music.
LG will also be offering three months of Apple Music free to LG Smart TV users globally. The complimentary trial can be accessed via the Apple Music app on compatible LG Smart TVs, including models from 2018 onwards running webOS 4.0 or higher, as well as lifestyle screen models.
“The introduction of Dolby Atmos through Apple Music on LG TVs transforms how we listen to music on the big screen,” Chris Jo, senior vice-president of platform business at LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company, said in a media release.
Apple Music, known for its ad-free platform and extensive library boasting over 100 million songs and 30,000 playlists, promises an unparalleled listening experience. The service offers exclusive content like Apple Music Live.
Dolby Atmos integration further enhances the audio quality, providing a heightened sense of clarity and depth. LG Smart TV users can seamlessly access Apple Music through various means, including voice command and the LG Content Store.
Even for LG Smart TVs without native Dolby Atmos support, users can still enjoy the immersive sound by connecting to a Dolby Atmos-enabled LG soundbar. Direct Bluetooth connectivity to Apple devices like AirPods ensures a hassle-free listening experience.
