Myth Avenue Gaming (Malaysia) and Fancy United (Vietnam) claimed the Predator Shield at the Asia Pacific (APAC) Predator League 2026, which concluded in New Delhi, India, after several days of competition featuring top teams from across the region.
The tournament started with 24 teams competing in VALORANT and Dota 2, representing 14 territories across Asia-Pacific. By the final day, only two champions remained, one for each game.
In VALORANT, Fancy United defeated Indonesia’s BOOM Esports to secure the Predator Shield and a $65,000 share of the prize pool. The result surprised many fans, as BOOM Esports entered the match as one of the favorites. Hoàng “Twilight” Minh Dũng led Fancy United’s run, finishing the series with 40 kills. His performance earned him the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award and a $10,000 cash prize.
In the Dota 2 finals, Myth Avenue Gaming successfully defended its Predator Shield against Indonesia’s REKONIX. Earlier in the day, REKONIX had eliminated Philippine team InterActive Philippines, setting up a closely fought grand final. The series went to a deciding third game, which lasted 41 minutes. Myth Avenue Gaming took control in the late stages, finishing the match with 44 kills to secure the title and another $65,000 prize. Offlaner egxrdemxn was named MVP and received $10,000.
Philippine teams made a strong showing during the tournament. In VALORANT, Xipto Esports reached the semifinals, finishing in the top four. The team was led by Emmanuel “Emman” Morales, a former Team Secret player, and topped Group C before falling to BOOM Esports in the semifinals. BOOM’s lineup included Nikita “d3ffo” Sudakov, a former VCT Masters winner.
Xipto Esports also outperformed local rivals Oasis Gaming, the APAC Predator League Philippine champions. Oasis exited early after a 1-2 group stage record.
In Dota 2, InterActive Philippines exceeded expectations despite joining the tournament as a late replacement. The team pushed REKONIX to three games in the lower bracket finals but fell short after a difficult draft in the deciding match.
At the end of the event, organizers confirmed that the APAC Predator League 2027 will be held in Vietnam.
