Manulife Investment Management and Trust Corp. (Manulife Investments Philippines), the local asset management arm of international financial services provider Manulife, has launched a new investment fund that gives Filipino investors access to global stocks while targeting both income and long-term growth.
The Manulife Global Equity Diversified Income Feeder Fund is a globally diversified equity unit investment trust fund (UITF) that combines different investment strategies to generate potential income while giving investors exposure to growth opportunities in global markets.
“The Manulife Global Equity Diversified Income Feeder Fund is designed to draw from multiple potential return drivers, combining global growth opportunities with diversified sources of returns and options-based strategies that can help transform market volatility into an additional source of income,” said Aira Gaspar, president and CEO, Manulife Investments Philippines.
The launch comes as more Filipinos look for investments that can provide regular income while helping them manage market ups and downs. Manulife’s Asia Care Survey 2026 found that 49% of Filipinos who have started saving and investing for their financial well-being plan to shift toward income-generating investments.
The fund invests across several types of assets and strategies, including growth-oriented companies, income-generating stocks, preferred stocks, and options-based strategies. This approach is designed to reduce reliance on a single source of returns and help the portfolio adjust to different market conditions.
“Through this new UITF, we are giving investors access to a globally managed solution that seeks to generate income, enhance portfolio resilience, and support long-term wealth creation through a single, diversified investment,” Gaspar said.
The fund is the latest addition to Manulife Investments Philippines’ suite of UITFs. It is aimed at investors looking for long-term capital appreciation, income potential, and global diversification.
Investors can access the fund for as low as $1,000 or ₱1,000, giving Filipinos a relatively accessible way to invest in global equity income opportunities.
The fund can also be accessed online through Manulife iFUNDS, a digital investment platform that allows investors to open and manage their UITF accounts digitally.
