Manulife Philippines introduced its new health platform, ManulifeMOVE, during its “Time to MOVE – Manulife Longevity Symposium” held at Grand Hyatt Manila. The event gathered healthcare experts, financial advisors, and industry partners to discuss how Filipinos can live longer and healthier lives.

The MOVE program is designed to encourage users to make small, consistent changes that promote wellness. Accessible through the Manulife app, MOVE serves as a digital hub for preventive care, fitness, and mental well-being. It also connects users to partner services offering discounts on health consultations, diagnostics, and treatments.

“With ManulifeMOVE, we aim to help Filipinos turn awareness into action by giving them the tools and guidance they need to take care of their health,” said Rahul Hora, president and CEO of Manulife Philippines. “We want to empower people to make informed decisions about their well-being and future.”

The app combines four key components:

During the symposium, participants joined interactive sessions focused on nutrition, fitness, mental health, and cognitive wellness. Each session, themed Live, Flex, Breathe, and Think, gave practical tips on maintaining a balanced and sustainable lifestyle.

Manulife brand ambassador Anne Curtis said the event reminded her of the importance of consistent health habits.

“While many Filipinos are aware of the importance of good health, there remains a gap between awareness and action,” said celebrity Anne Curtis, who is also Manulife brand ambassador. “As a mom, I’ve realized how important it is to stay strong and healthy for myself and my family. Manulife’s Time to MOVE is a meaningful reminder that caring for our bodies and minds is an investment in a longer, better future.”

MOVE builds on its regional efforts to promote health and longevity

The company also presented findings from the Manulife Asia Care Survey 2025, which showed that Filipinos are becoming more focused on the quality of life in their later years rather than longevity alone. A separate study, “#FYP: Future-proofing Young Pinoys,” revealed that millennials and Gen Z Filipinos value purpose and financial independence as part of their definition of living well.

Ariel Kangasniemi, Manulife’s global head of sustainability and climate performance management, said that small, consistent steps are key to long-term health. “It does not take extreme efforts. Even the smallest actions, like eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and learning from experts, can help us achieve our desired future,” he said.

The company said MOVE builds on its regional efforts to promote health and longevity. It plans to continue working with healthcare, financial, and sustainability partners to make preventive care and healthy living more accessible.

“Filipinos are beginning to view their future through a new lens,” Hora said. “There’s an opportunity to bridge the gap between aspiration and action through practical solutions that empower our kababayans to maintain their well-being and enjoy a more fulfilling future.”
