Maya Savings, the digital savings account with a 6% interest has started its operations in the Philippines through the all-in-one money app, Maya. Maya Savings is powered by the BSP-licensed digital bank Maya Bank.
Users with upgraded accounts will no longer need to complete missions or wait to access Maya Savings to unlock the Maya Savings feature on the app. To upgrade the account, app users need just one valid ID. There is no minimum opening and maintaining balance requirement. Until Aug. 31, 2022, Maya Savings will offer a 6% interest rate to all customers.
Clients can easily move money from the Maya wallet to Maya Savings to start earning interest. There is no need to log in, submit another application, or provide personal data to another third-party bank.

Deposit account opening until May 30 will allow app users to earn 500 points for the Maya Early Access Challenge.
The Maya Early Access Challenge is open to all upgraded Maya users. Earn more points whenever upon completion of Early Access Challenge missions, including sharing feedback on the Maya app, referring friends to Maya using your code, and using more Maya features, including Pay Bills, Buy Load, and more. The higher the score is, the more chances of winning a share of P3 million worth of bitcoin.
App users will be assigned a Maya level, depending on the score:
- Maya Master for the top 5% of users with the highest score
- Maya Enthusiast for the next 10% of users with the highest score
- Maya Explorer for the next 15% of users with the highest score
Maya Explorer-level customers will get a chance to win P300,000 worth of Bitcoin. Maya Enthusiasts can take home P600,000 worth of Bitcoin. And Maya Masters have the chance to take home another P1,000,000 worth of Bitcoin!
On top of these prizes, all participants with a Maya Savings account will get a chance to win another P1 million worth of bitcoin, while all Maya users can get a chance to win P100,000 worth of bitcoin.
