Maya, the financial technology arm of PLDT, saw strong growth in 2024, with significant increases in banking customers, lending, and payments market share.

The company reported having 5.4 million bank customers, a 71% rise from the previous year, and 1.6 million borrowers, nearly twice the number from 2023. Its total deposit balance reached ₱39 billion, showing a 59% increase, while cumulative loan disbursements totaled ₱92 billion.

Maya also maintained its leading position in card acquiring and QRPH transactions, reinforcing its presence in the payments sector. The company reported positive net income for 2024, supported by its loan portfolio’s steady performance and a non-performing loan ratio lower than industry averages.

Maya introduced several new products, including the Landers Cashback Credit Card, issuing over 100,000 cards in five months. It also launched Maya Business Deposit services and Maya Business Advance, offering customized loan terms for small businesses.
