Fintech firm Maya has shown its support to the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) through its Scam Safe program, which aims to improve public awareness of online scams and cyber fraud.

The company said the support forms part of its focus on cybersecurity, which covers both system protection and user education. Maya said it continues to invest in secure infrastructure, real-time monitoring, and risk controls, while building security features directly into its apps and services for payments, savings, and credit.

“We’re pleased to support initiatives like Scam Safe, which highlight the importance of partnerships in addressing cybersecurity challenges,” said Toff Rada, head of Corporate Affairs at Maya. “Partnerships across government, finance, telecommunications, and technology are critical to educating the public, sharing best practices, and responding more effectively to evolving scam threats.”

Alongside its platform safeguards, Maya said it emphasizes the need to educate users. Through its ScamPatrol campaign, the company shares practical tips to help customers identify common scam methods and practice safer online behavior during daily digital transactions.

Maya said supporting Scam Safe shows that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation, information sharing, and public awareness to help create a safer digital financial environment for Filipinos.
