In celebration of Mother’s Day, Philippine startup Mila Business Solutions Corp. has unveiled Mila, a health data storage application that aims to transform how Filipino families handle their healthcare records.
The Mila app was developed following a survey revealing that 64% of parents struggle to recall their child’s medical history during appointments, risking incomplete assessments and suboptimal healthcare outcomes. The survey also found that 50% of parents admitted to misplacing their baby books multiple times.
“The Mila app is more than just a digital tool,” said Faustino Salvador Jr., CEO of Mila. “It is a way for parents to stay organized and proactive about their family’s health.”
Mila aims to streamline children’s health management, enabling mothers to take proactive roles in family healthcare. It provides a comprehensive platform for managing medical records, appointments, and data sharing with healthcare providers and family members, envisioning an ecosystem promoting family health and well-being.
Key features include a family health plan, digital baby book, immunization records, medication reminders, and personalized health notes.
Supported by Pulse 63, a growth-focused accelerator and healthcare venture arm of Kaya Founders, Mila offers secure health record storage, complete immunization records, appointment scheduling, and medication reminders.
“Our collaboration is dedicated to fostering innovation in healthcare technology, empowering users with seamless access to health information for better decision-making and outcomes,” said Abdul Paravengal, managing director of Pulse 63.
