An estimate of a thousand attendees took part in a three-day event at SM City North Edsa, The Annex Cyberzone Activity Area, celebrating two decades of luxury gaming by tech brand MSI.

Held on June 28-30, 2024, the event included a private session for partners and media on the first day and was open to the public on the following two days.

A major attraction was a time tunnel showcasing MSI’s journey, featuring laptop models from the 2003 Inaugural MS-1003 to the 2023 Stealth 16 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport edition. Registered visitors enjoyed playing with powerful laptops and received stamp passports for a raffle entry upon completion.

Hosted by BeefMami, the event featured various MSI goodies, games, and raffle prizes. Popular areas included the MSI Claw Zone with a premium handheld gaming device, and the PLDT Home Booth, which hosted Valorant, NBA2K24, and Tekken 8 game sessions on MSI laptops.

Day 1’s highlight was a Tekken Tournament with a prize pool of P20,000, attracting 64 participants. The tournament, officially licensed by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), drew a large audience cheering for intense matches. Another highlight was a Meet and Greet with MSI Ambassadress Biancake, where fans could interact and take photos with her.

Day 2 featured a Cosplay Competition with 20 participants performing skits judged by notable cosplayers Charess and Roxanne Kho, and veteran cosplayer EJ Quintos. Ray Sta. Ana, cosplaying Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, won the Grand Prize of P12,000 and MSI merchandise. Guy Singzon as The Penitent One from Blasphemous and Charie Bagotsay as Mokujin from Tekken secured the second and third places, respectively.

Attendees also enjoyed a Meet and Greet with Charess & Roxanne Kho. Throughout the event, a special promotion at the MSI Concept Store offered limited edition 20th Anniversary freebies and discounts, with the first 20 buyers of any MSI laptop receiving a $50 Steam Wallet code. The event highlighted MSI’s impact on the gaming industry and its expansion into business, productivity, and content creation products.
