Amigo, a new online delivery service, hopes to take a slice of the pie of the growing app-based delivery system. Dismissing concerns about being “late to the game,” Amigo said it is looking at businesses and not just individual consumers.
“There are opportunities for services like we offer at Amigo,” said Matthew Siy Cha, founder and president of Amigo. “We are not looking only at the individual or consumer market but businesses as well.”
Founded by Project Move Inc. in 2020, Amigo is an app-based delivery platform that connects customers to riders of motorcycles, cars, and even bikes for all delivery needs. For partner merchants, Amigo assigns an account manager and provides weekly analytics reports to give them an overview of their business’ performance. The delivery service also has route optimization features, and can cater to multiple drop-offs to ensure that merchants get the most out of each booking.

Merchants also have package insurance with clear and easy-to-understand guidelines on different situations that they may encounter, like product damage or loss, cancellations, and mishandling, among others.
Amigo services also include parcel and package deliveries with insulated boxes, cash handling, queuing service, and “Pasabuy” or purchase service. The company accepts cash on delivery, credit or debit card, and e-wallets such as PayMaya.
When it comes to package security, Amigo has real-time tracking of riders and a security code feature to ensure packages arrive at the right locations and to the right people. Amigo Chat provides customers real-time communication with riders or a customer support agent, where they can send their location or images all within the Amigo app.
Riders also have direct access to AmiGoals, which is Amigo’s incentive programs and leaderboards to help them gain extra earnings, stay competitive, and always motivated. Similarly, they also have access to Amigo Chat for real-time communication with customers or rider support without having to leave the app. For Amigo rider applicants, registration, training, and verification are all done online to ensure safety and convenience.
