A new digital movement, Never Ending Weekends, has been launched to help people gain clarity and direction amid life pressures.
Founded by Australian entrepreneur Roey Balbus, who has worked closely with Filipinos for over 15 years, the initiative focuses on self-awareness and personal growth. Balbus has supported Filipino professionals and leaders in business development and leadership over the years.
A recent study by insurance provider AXA found that 35% of young adults in the Philippines experience depression, 16% live with anxiety, and many feel uncertain about their career paths, identity, relationships, and future. Despite these challenges, most young adults lack simple tools to reflect on their emotions or gain clarity.
“Filipinos have been working hard their whole lives, and we don’t want their freedom or success to come in brief moments. For that to happen, they need growth, confidence, and a sense of control over their own lives,” said Balbus. “We believe that they are capable of so much more when they’re given the right tools such as simple activities, accessible guidance, and a path toward true alignment.”
Never Ending Weekends offers guided activities that focus on common challenges such as identity, clarity, relationships, and emotional grounding. Examples include Vision Board Creation, Explore Your Motivators, Mindset Shift Scenarios, and Obstacle Mapping & Solution Brainstorm. Each activity is broken down into small, manageable steps that individuals can do alone or with loved ones.
The activities are available online at neverendingweekends.com, with free options and paid activities starting at ₱120.
“As people go through the activities, they learn to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves to gain clarity about their path and to slowly build a life that feels like a never ending weekend,” Balbus said.
