Nokia has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PLDT Enterprise, the corporate business arm of PLDT, to offer 5G private wireless network solutions to businesses in the Philippines. 

The partnership between Nokia and PLDT Enterprise promises to enhance operational efficiency and productivity across various sectors, including mining, port operations, and manufacturing, by utilizing advanced 5G technology.

Nokia’s 5G infrastructure, combined with PLDT Enterprise’s comprehensive service portfolio, will enable Filipino businesses to benefit from ultra-reliable low-latency communication, faster data speeds, and the capacity to connect numerous devices simultaneously. These capabilities are crucial for real-time data analytics, remote monitoring, and control of equipment, fostering the automation of industrial processes.

Industry 4.0 applications

Nokia’s experience deploying private wireless solutions globally will play a pivotal role in supporting PLDT Enterprise’s customers. The company has already implemented such solutions for over 730 clients worldwide, demonstrating the effectiveness of 5G private wireless networks in providing secure, high-bandwidth, and low-latency connectivity for Industry 4.0 applications.

This collaboration with Nokia is expected to further PLDT Enterprise’s mission of introducing technologies that promote automation, insightful analytics, and strategic digital growth.
