nubia Philippines has launched the first season of the nubia Pro League (NPL), its entry into the country’s esports scene. The event, held recently at SM City Sta. Mesa, brought together top Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams and gaming fans for a day of competition.

The tournament aims to strengthen the company’s support for Filipino gamers while promoting access to affordable, high-performance gaming smartphones such as the nubia Neo 3 GT 5G Limited Edition.

“Through the nubia Pro League, we’re taking another step in supporting the growth of esports in the Philippines,” said Lian Zhaojun, country head of nubia Philippines. 

Four teams (TOTCH ODK Heroes, Minerva Esports, Maru Esports, and Chillzone Esports) competed for the title of NPL Season 1 Champion. TOTCH ODK Heroes emerged as the winner, taking home ₱25,000 in cash, five nubia Neo 3 GT 5G Limited Edition smartphones, and exclusive merchandise. Minerva Esports finished as first runner-up, while Chillzone Esports and Maru × Minerva placed as runners-up.

The limited edition gaming smartphone served as the official gaming phone for the competition. It features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 120Hz display, and a 6000mAh battery with dual ICE cooling technology.

“We believe that every Filipino gamer deserves access to powerful yet budget-friendly technology,” Zhaojun said. “We’re committed to expanding our presence, supporting more tournaments, and inspiring the next generation of players to be Built for Champions.”

The company said it plans to hold more esports tournaments and community gaming activities in 2026 as part of its effort to reach more Filipino gamers.
