nubia has introduced the V80 Max smartphone in the Philippines, a budget option designed for daily use, long hours, and basic protection against wear and tear.

The nubia V80 Max is built to handle common risks faced during daily commutes and work routines. It has been tested for drops of up to 1.8 meters and carries an IP64 rating, which means it offers protection against dust and light splashes of water. The company said these features are meant to reduce damage from accidental falls and exposure to outdoor conditions.

The V80 Max comes with a 6000mAh battery, which nubia says can support a full day of work, school, or travel on a single charge. It also supports 22.5W fast charging to shorten charging time. An AI-based power-saving feature is included to help manage battery use throughout the day.

The phone has a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This allows smoother scrolling when browsing, watching videos, or using multiple apps. The screen can reach up to 780 nits of brightness, making it easier to see outdoors.

For safety and daily convenience, the V80 Max includes AI Scam Alert, which helps detect suspicious calls and messages. It also has a One-Swipe AI Memory feature that allows users to quickly access stored information while keeping it private.

In terms of cameras, the device features a 50MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP front camera. These are intended for basic photography needs such as school projects, work documentation, and everyday photos.

The nubia V80 Max is available in Black, Silver, Gold, and Purple. It is priced at ₱6,499 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant during its launch period.

The device will be available starting Jan. 23 through nubia Philippines’ official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, as well as selected authorized retailers nationwide.
