Palo Alto Networks, a cybersecurity solutions company, is offering a secure browser built for small businesses, aiming to reduce cyberattacks tied to everyday work tools and AI use.
Called Prisma Browser for Business, the platform acts as a centralized workspace where employees can safely access apps and AI tools from any device, while business owners retain control over data and security settings.
The company said small businesses now rely on an average of 36 browser-based applications, making the browser a primary attack surface. It cited that 95% of organizations have experienced a security incident originating in the browser, highlighting the growing risk from phishing, ransomware, and fraud.
“For most small businesses, the browser is now the office. It’s where you interact with customers, manage your books, and use new AI tools to help grow your business,” said Anupam Upadhyaya, SVP of Product, Palo Alto Networks. “But standard browsers weren’t built to stop modern cyberattacks or prevent AI data leaks.”
Prisma Browser for Business includes built-in protection that blocks AI-driven phishing and ransomware attacks, while adding controls to prevent sensitive company data from being exposed through AI tools. It also allows administrators to configure which applications and AI services employees can access, helping reduce risks from shadow IT and unmanaged tools.
The platform offers an enterprise-grade security solution adapted for smaller firms, with simplified setup and management. Palo Alto Networks said its systems process billions of threats daily for large enterprises, and this same level of protection is now accessible to small businesses through the browser.
The service is currently available in the United States, with a 30-day free trial that can be activated in a few steps.
