PayMaya, the digital payments arm of Voyager Innovations, is enabling the cashless payments options at the newly launched self-order kiosks now available at select stores of McDonald’s in Metro Manila.
Through the One by PayMaya Business terminal mounted on the kiosks, customers can easily pay for their meals by swiping, dipping, or tapping their Visa or Mastercard credit, debit, or prepaid cards.
After payment, they can proceed to the Claim Counter to pick up the food they ordered.
The cashless transactions at McDonald’s Self-Ordering Kiosks are powered by One by PayMaya Business, an all-in-one payments terminal that can accept various transaction modes, including cards- and mobile-based payments.
“We’d like to congratulate McDonald’s for bringing this remarkable innovation to their stores in the Philippines,” said Paolo Azzola, COO and managing director at PayMaya Philippines. “Through our respective innovations, we hope to transform the experience of McDonald’s customers whenever they order their favorite food, and push the adoption of the ‘cashless’ lifestyle by more Filipinos.”
Customers can try out the Self-Ordering kiosks powered by PayMaya at the McDonald’s McKinley West (Fort Bonifacio), Kapitolyo (Pasig), Robinson’s Galleria (Pasig), Madison (San Juan), and Pioneer (Mandaluyong) branches of McDonald’s in Metro Manila.
Aside from facilitating quick transactions, One by PayMaya Business terminals are designed to be user-friendly because they look very much like most smartphones today. Aside from this, connectivity options for the terminal include mobile data, Bluetooth, and WiFi, which gives merchants the liberty to place them anywhere around their stores–much like McDonald’s self-order kiosks.
McDonald’s is currently one of the early adopters of One by PayMaya Business, which will slowly be rolled out in other key PayMaya partners nationwide in the coming months.
Aside from select McDonald’s stores with Self-Ordering Kiosks, PayMaya is also powering cashless acceptance in at least 42 McDonald’s stores nationwide through One by PayMaya Business, and in participating McCafe stores through PayMaya QR, where customers can get P100 cashback for a minimum purchase of P150 via PayMaya QR until Oct. 23.
PayMaya is the digital payments arm of Voyager Innovations, a technology company in the Philippines focused on developing customer-centric emerging market platforms in the areas of digital payments, digital finance, and marketing technologies. Voyager is backed by KRR, Tencent, as well as PLDT.
