Digital financial services firm PayMaya introduced an additional feature in its app — PlayMaya — intended to entice more mobile gamers to use the app and offer them a seamless gaming experience.
In an Accenture report, the value of the gaming industry is expected to reach $300 billion, and 400 million new gamers are expected to add to the existing 2.7 billion by the end of 2023. The industry also experienced exponential growth during the lockdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With this backdrop, Philippine fintech firm PayMaya is offering exclusive access to exciting deals and cashback rewards for in-game purchases and soon, to over 290 digital gaming products, free mini-games to play, and curated content from favorite gaming personalities, all within the PayMaya app.
Gamers and app users can just tap the “Play” button on the PayMaya app home screen to gain access to all features.

PayMaya also launched the PlayMaya tournament with a prize pool of P2 million per leg for games like “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,” “Call of Duty Mobile,” and “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile.” PayMaya is also giving away over P4 million worth of prizes to the participants. These include gadgets and cash prizes from partners, realme and Smart, which brings the PlayMaya Tournament’s prize pool to over P10 million.
