Fintech and payment solutions provider Payoneer has launched Payoneer Workforce Management (WFM), a platform designed to help businesses hire, onboard, and pay workers across more than 160 countries without the need to set up a local entity.

The announcement was made during VIP Connect, Payoneer’s annual flagship event, which was recently held in Manila.

Formerly known as Skuad, Payoneer WFM supports compliance with local employment laws and provides services such as insurance, workspace access, visa documentation, and payroll. It also connects businesses to Payoneer’s network of over one million skilled professionals worldwide.

“Workforce Management is a natural extension of what Payoneer already does best, removing barriers for businesses to operate globally,” said Tarun Gadhok, senior director of Account Management WFM at Payoneer.

Alongside WFM, Payoneer introduced new features to its platform to help businesses get paid more efficiently. These include branded tax-compliant invoicing, faster bank withdrawals, and smarter foreign exchange tools with real-time USD-to-PHP alerts.

The Philippines continues to be a key market for Payoneer, supported by its strong outsourcing industry. In 2024, the IT-BPM sector generated $38 billion in revenue, employed 1.82 million professionals, and contributed 9% to the country’s GDP. The Philippines also has 1.5 million gig workers, making it a major source of talent for remote work and outsourcing.

Payoneer reaffirmed its support for Filipino small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) during VIP Connect Manila, which carried the theme “20 Years of Empowering Businesses to Go Global.” The event gathered professionals from industries including e-commerce, IT, marketing, and healthcare.

“The country’s rich talent pool and fast-growing outsourcing industry make it a vital hub for global business, and we are here to ensure Filipino entrepreneurs have the tools and support to thrive on the world stage,” said Monique Avila, head of Customer Success for APAC at Payoneer.

Avila noted that Payoneer enables seamless cross-border payments in more than 190 countries and territories, across 10 currencies, with access to marketplaces and SMBs worldwide.

For nearly a decade, Payoneer has worked with Filipino businesses of all sizes, supporting their global expansion through cross-border payment services. At VIP Connect Manila, industry leaders and Payoneer customers shared their experiences on scaling internationally.
