The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) will highlight technology-driven innovations and the National Hackathon Championship during its 51st Philippine Business Conference & Expo (PBC&E) on Oct. 20-21, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
With the theme “The Future is Now: Unleash the Power of Digital Transformation,” the event will feature projects and solutions from local and international partners.
“This year is about action, not just talk,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO of Converge and chair of the PCCI 51st PBC&E. “We are creating a space where ideas become projects, where technology meets opportunity, and where the benefits of digital tools are made accessible to all sectors of society.”
Regional champions from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and the National Capital Region will compete in the final round of the hackathon. Teams will present their solutions to real-world business challenges before a panel of experts, investors, and government leaders.
The projects include AI-powered platforms for small and medium enterprises, as well as digital tools aimed at expanding education and opportunities in underserved communities. Winning teams will receive national recognition, mentorship from industry leaders, cash prizes, high-speed internet access, and opportunities for their solutions to be deployed by public and private partners.
Government agencies will also join the expo to present their programs. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and partner schools will showcase technology-based disaster preparedness initiatives. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will demonstrate infrastructure connectivity projects, while the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will present tools designed to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) adapt to digital systems.
The expo aims to gather business leaders, technology innovators, and policymakers to turn digital transformation strategies into practical solutions for Philippine enterprises and communities.
