Phinma Education, a private group of schools in the Philippines and Indonesia, is using technology to make learning more accessible and effective. Known for offering low-cost college and university courses, the group has helped more than 144,000 students, many of whom are the first in their families to earn a degree or diploma.

To improve its operations, Phinma Education teamed up with Lenovo to upgrade its IT systems. By using Lenovo’s tools across all its schools, the organization can now better manage its devices, reduce costs, and make learning more engaging through access to digital content.

Before the partnership, Phinma Education used devices from different brands, which made it hard for their IT teams to provide fast and reliable support. With Lenovo’s support, the group now has a single system in place, making it easier to handle technical issues and move data to the cloud.

Providing digital tools

Through the Lenovo EdVision program, teachers are trained to use digital tools in the classroom, allowing students to learn using more modern and interactive methods. Lenovo also provides Device as a Service (DaaS), which helps Phinma save time and resources while keeping devices updated and ready for use.

In the last two years, Phinma Education has added around 2,000 Lenovo devices, with plans to bring in another 1,000 by 2025. It also plans to use Lenovo’s TruScale services to make sure students and teachers always have access to working devices and IT support.

With Lenovo as a technology partner, Phinma Education aims to continue helping students from low-income families finish school and build better futures, as it grows its presence in Southeast Asia.
