PLDT Enterprise, the business arm of PLDT Group, reported revenues of ₱35.6 billion in its latest disclosure. The company credited growth to public-private partnerships, stronger ICT capabilities, and higher adoption by small and medium enterprises.

Government collaborations have helped improve public services. The Unified 911 System, launched with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), combines police, fire, medical, and rescue agencies into a single emergency platform for faster response using advanced technology. PLDT Enterprise also worked with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to modernize 16 airports nationwide, improving connectivity and the passenger experience.

Blums Pineda, SVP and head of Enterprise Business Group of PLDT, said the company is exploring different industries to maintain growth and expand its services.

“We serve a broad base of customers across the public sector, large enterprises, and SMEs — and one responsibility of being a market leader is that we are deeply embedded in virtually all major industries,” Pineda said in an email interview with Back End News. “Our growth focus now is on expanding what we can offer beyond our traditional strengths in fixed and mobile connectivity.”

He noted a shift toward ICT as industries accelerate digital transformation and seek better solutions, infrastructure, and platforms. Recent projects include the Unified 911 system and the SmartSafe anti-fraud API suite for banks, following the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ guidance to move beyond OTPs.

In fixed connectivity, PLDT Enterprise is seeing growing demand for managed network services and solutions like SD-WAN. In wireless, the company focuses on IoT, mobile private networks, and related technologies.

“Basically, the common theme across all industries is the growing need for secure, reliable, and scalable digital services,” Pineda said.

PLDT Enterprise is also integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its services. The company began with GPU-as-a-Service through ePLDT, which evolved into Pilipinas AI, a locally hosted AI solutions stack. It allows customers to adopt AI without building or managing infrastructure.

Hosted at VITRO Sta Rosa, the country’s first AI-ready hyperscale data center, Pilipinas AI keeps data within the Philippines. The platform is used internally to improve customer service with AI-powered talkbots that analyze calls in real time and provide actionable insights.

Across industries, AI helps banks process documents faster, detect fraud, and provide advice. BPOs use AI to assist agents and automate tasks. Healthcare providers engage patients, review clinical reports, and manage insurance claims. Government offices centralize information, improve citizen services, and automate grant reviews. Utilities use AI to predict energy demand, monitor equipment, and streamline workflows.

“Our AI-ready ecosystem, along with multi-cloud, cybersecurity, managed services, and connectivity offerings, positions PLDT Enterprise to help businesses and government use advanced technology to make better decisions, improve performance, and adopt AI at scale,” Pineda said.
