PLDT Group, alongside its wireless unit Smart Communications and Alagang Kapatid Foundation, is providing hot meals to residents in Naga City, Camarines Sur, following the impact of Tropical Storm #EntengPH and the Southwest Monsoon (habagat).
The PLDT Group recently concluded its “Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi” services, helping residents reconnect with their loved ones. Through its Infocast service, PLDT and Smart also supported communication for the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (Apsemo) during disaster response efforts.
“We recognize our responsibility and critical role in disaster response,” said Cathy Yang, FVP and head of Group Corporate Communications, PLDT and Smart. “Communication as aid is vital during emergency situations, especially during typhoon season.”
