PLDT Home, the home broadband unit of PLDT Inc., awarded prizes worth over ₱2 million to subscribers from different parts of the country during the grand awarding ceremony of the One Mega Giveaway (OMG) promo held in Manila.

Now in its second year, the nationwide promo highlights stories of Filipinos whose lives have improved through reliable internet connection. The event gathered PLDT Home and Toyota Motor Philippines executives to recognize this year’s winners.

“Every year, we meet subscribers whose stories remind us why we do what we do,” said Patrick Tang, FVP and head of Home Acquisition Marketing of PLDT. “At PLDT Home, we aim to make every connection meaningful, not just by providing reliable internet, but also by creating opportunities that help families work, learn, and grow while winning valuable rewards.”

Among the winners was Geresa Constantino, a food stall worker from Manila, who received ₱1 million in cash. She shared that she initially thought she won only ₱1,000 after receiving a text message. “Someone texted me saying I won. I thought it was only ₱1,000, but it turned out to be one million,” she said in Tagalog. “This is truly a blessing. Life has been hard for us, so this will help a lot. We’re thinking of starting a small grocery or piggery, and maybe my boyfriend and I can finally get married.”

In Bacolod City, medical intern Andrea Sartorio won a brand-new Toyota Fortuner after recently subscribing to PLDT Home Fiber.

“Honestly, just having fast Wi-Fi already felt like a win for me. Then I found out I won a Fortuner — I couldn’t stop smiling,” she said. Andrea plans to give the vehicle to her parents in Iloilo to support their poultry business.

In Quezon Province, 52-year-old mother Mirasol Cura received free broadband for life.

“I really didn’t expect to win,” she said. “I subscribed mainly for my children’s online classes. Now, I don’t have to worry about monthly payments. It’s such a relief and a big help for our family’s future.”

Aside from the major prizes, 10 subscribers each received ₱100,000, while another 10 were given one year of free broadband.
