PLDT Home is restructuring its broadband offers to focus on fiber prepaid and digital home services as it targets growth in a price-sensitive market.
The consumer broadband unit of PLDT Inc. said it is aligning its strategy around two priorities: expanding digital services for connected households and accelerating fiber prepaid to reach more families without straining capital spending.
The company said more customers are subscribing to bundled plans that combine broadband with streaming platforms such as Netflix, Cignal, and HBO Max. These bundles aim to increase customer retention and encourage upgrades to higher-tier plans.
“Our direction is clear: convert network investments into everyday value through richer digital services and accessible prepaid options,” said John Palanca, senior vice president and head of Consumer Business – Home. “Prepaid fiber is essential in today’s environment. It gives more families a pathway to reliable fiber, at a price that fits their needs, while ensuring the economics remain disciplined and sustainable.”
PLDT Home is also promoting add-on services under its Home Life lineup, including mesh WiFi devices and home security kits. These products hope to address common household needs such as stronger signal coverage and added protection, turning basic internet access into a more complete home setup.
For gaming users, PLDT Home is offering IGV Game Pass, which gives access to more than 200 PC games on a single platform. The company said this expands options for households that spend more time and money on online entertainment.
Fiber Prepaid has become central to PLDT Home’s expansion plans. The prepaid service runs on the same fiber network standards as its postpaid plans but allows customers to pay based on usage. The company said this model appeals to value-conscious families who want flexibility, while postpaid plans continue to cater to higher-usage households seeking bundled features.
As of end-December 2025, the PLDT Group’s fiber network spanned about 1.25 million cable kilometers across domestic and international routes. PLDT Home reported ₱61.0 billion in service revenues in 2025, up 3% year on year. Fiber revenues increased 6% to ₱59.4 billion and accounted for 98% of total segment revenues. Fiber net additions reached 392,000, bringing total subscribers to 3.76 million.
