Portable solar generators Jackery enters PH market

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus - Small But Mighty Powerhouse

Portable power solutions provider Jackery has entered the Philippine market, offering solar-powered generators and battery products designed for homes, businesses, and outdoor use.

Jackery partnered with gadget retailer Techroom to distribute its products locally. The company’s Explorer 100 Plus portable power station is now available through Techroom’s Shopee and Lazada stores, with promotional vouchers offered until Feb. 3.

“Jackery is a well-loved brand globally, and now that it is here in the Philippines, we envision it to be the ultimate partner for Filipinos, whether they are working from home, running a business, or exploring the outdoors,” said Igue Bonifacio, marketing and emerging businesses head of Cognetics Inc.

Jackery was founded in 2012 by a former Apple senior battery engineer. The brand name combines the words “jacket” and “battery,” focusing on portable battery packs that could fit inside jackets. Based in Silicon Valley, the company has developed portable power products for consumers who need backup electricity for daily use or emergencies. It has sold over 3 million units worldwide and received more than 100 design awards.

Jackery’s products are designed to provide backup power during outages and for mobile use. Its Explorer series portable power stations and SolarSaga solar panels operate without fuel and produce no emissions. The devices use lithium iron phosphate or LiFePO4 batteries and include a battery management system that helps control temperature, voltage, and charging performance.

The Explorer 100 Plus features a 99 watt-hour capacity and can charge small devices such as laptops and smartphones at the same time. The device is marketed for travel, remote work, and emergency power needs.

Jackery plans to expand its presence in the country as demand for alternative power sources grows.
