At IFA 2024, Samsung Electronics highlighted its commitment to creating a connected world through its “AI For All” initiative. During the event, the company showcased how its (artificial intelligence) AI-powered products are designed to improve everyday life by making technology more accessible and useful.

The presentation, divided into two sections — “AI Meets the World” and “AI Meets You” — focused on how AI is being integrated into various aspects of consumers’ lives. Samsung demonstrated how its AI-enabled products, ranging from mobile devices to home appliances, adapt to individual needs. A key highlight was the SmartThings ecosystem, which connects over 500 million devices. This platform allows users to control their appliances remotely, offering convenience and efficiency, whether they are managing home systems or optimizing energy usage.

Samsung also introduced the One UI 6.1.1 update, expanding AI features to more Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24, Z Fold5, and Flip5. New tools like Live Translate and Circle To Search aim to enhance user experience by offering real-time language translation and advanced search options.

Energy efficiency was another focus, with Samsung’s AI Energy Mode in SmartThings capable of reducing washing machine energy consumption by up to 70%. Samsung also plans to release the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo across Europe and the Philippines by December 2024. This innovative appliance combines washing and drying in one cycle and uses advanced heat pump technology to optimize energy use.

With 200 million Galaxy AI-enabled devices expected by the end of 2024, Samsung’s AI vision emphasizes making advanced technology accessible to all, while helping users improve their daily lives through smarter, more connected experiences.
