Samsung Electronics has launched the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic, introducing a refreshed design and new wellness features aimed at everyday use.

The new series carries the cushion design first seen on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, reengineered to make the watches thinner and more comfortable. Samsung said the internal layout was improved by 30%, helping reduce thickness by 11%. The Dynamic Lug system allows the watch to move more naturally with the wrist for better fit and stability, which also helps improve health-tracking accuracy.

The watches feature brighter displays, with peak brightness up to 3,000 nits, and improved battery life. They also include dual-frequency GPS for more precise location tracking and a 3nm processor for better performance and efficiency.

Health and wellness tools have been expanded. The new Bedtime Guidance tracks circadian rhythms to suggest optimal sleep times, while Vascular Load monitors stress on the cardiovascular system during sleep. For the first time, the Antioxidant Index measures carotenoid levels in seconds, giving users more information on healthy aging.

For fitness, the Running Coach assesses fitness levels and creates personalized plans, while the Together feature lets users compete with others. High Stress Alert and a Mindfulness Tracker offer real-time support for stress management. The Energy Score combines physical and mental metrics to give a daily energy snapshot.

The Galaxy Watch8 comes in 44mm and 40mm sizes, in graphite or silver. The Classic model, with its signature rotating bezel, is offered in 46mm, in black or white. Both can be paired with a variety of bands.
