Resorts World Cruises, an international cruise line based in Asia, will install advanced satellite services on its flagship vessel, the Genting Dream, through SES. This initiative marks the cruise line’s commitment to enhancing passenger experiences through cutting-edge technology.

SES is a global satellite operator that provides satellite communications services to broadcasters, content and internet service providers, mobile and fixed network operators, governments, and institutions.

The partnership will integrate SES’s Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite services, specifically the SES Cruise mPOWERED + Starlink PRO. This service, which debuted in 2023, offers up to 1.5Gbps connectivity, ensuring reliable high-speed internet for passengers and crew, regardless of location.

The installation on Genting Dream will be followed by similar upgrades on the Resorts World One cruise ship. This technology aims to elevate onboard experiences by enabling a range of digital services, including world-class entertainment, shopping, and dining options.
