ShopeePay, a digital payment and financial services provider in Southeast Asia and Brazil, has partnered with HitPay, a Philippine payment gateway for small businesses, to expand access to digital payments across the country.
“With mobile wallets accounting for more than 60% of all retail e-commerce transaction value in the Philippines, this partnership comes at an opportune time,” said Aditya Haripurkar, CEO of HitPay. “By embedding ShopeePay directly into HitPay, we are enabling our merchants to connect seamlessly with millions of active ShopeePay users and capture this dominant shift in consumer behavior.”
Despite rapid growth in digital transactions in the Philippines in 2025, consumers and merchants still face fragmented payment systems. Multiple platforms and payment methods can create inconsistent checkout experiences and operational hurdles for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The ShopeePay-HitPay integration aims to solve these challenges by offering a unified, secure, and user-friendly payment solution.
The integration allows HitPay merchants to streamline operations while accessing a larger, highly engaged user base. Benefits include faster checkout, improved conversion rates, and more reliable payment collection for everyday transactions, such as subscriptions.
ShopeePay features now available on HitPay include:
- ShopeePay Wallet – Quick checkouts using ShopeePay balance
- SPayLater – Flexible installment and deferred payment options
- MariBank Philippines Inc. (a rural bank) – Secure transactions via linked accounts
“At ShopeePay, we’re committed to giving users easy access to digital payment services,” said Hazel Sumampong, head of Product and Marketing at ShopeePay. “Our integration with HitPay makes digital payments more convenient for users and more empowering for businesses, supporting a more inclusive digital financial ecosystem in the Philippines.”
