Prepaid customers intending to activate their roaming service before international travel can do so by texting ROAM<space>ON to 333. On the other hand, postpaid customers, including Smart Infinity subscribers, can call the hotline *888 or *800.

In the Philippines, Smart’s mobile network covers 97% of the population, providing 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G connectivity, all supported by PLDT’s fiber infrastructure. As of September 2023, this infrastructure spans over 1.1 million kilometers, comprising over 0.2 million cable kilometers of international fiber and approximately 0.9 million cable kilometers of domestic fiber.
Smart has streamlined the process for tourists equipped with 5G SIMs and 5G-capable devices to connect effortlessly to Smart’s 5G network during their visits, especially during the festive Christmas holidays.
