Sprout Solutions acquires automation platform Linnia

HR (human resources) technology platform Sprout Solutions has acquired the process workflow division of Aiah (Innovantage Inc.) which includes Linnia, a workflow automation platform built by the organization. The two companies did not disclose the cost of the deal.

Linnia’s business units include Actions, a robotic process automation (RPA) platform that allows the automation of repetitive tasks in desktop applications; Procurement, a SaaS solution which digitizes key transactions in the procure-to-pay process (P2P); and Employee Onboarding, a self-service solution that allows new hires to enter their information and automatically updates their employee data systems.

“With this acquisition, we can further boost our HR ecosystem by injecting it with key workflow automation that will further simplify people tasks across our clients’ organizations,” said Patrick Gentry, co-founder and CEO, Sprout Solutions.

According to Sprout Solutions, the investment aims to further strengthen and integrate its globally recognized ecosystem of solutions that automate and streamline key HR processes for organizations of all sizes, including HR and Payroll Management, Talent Acquisition and Employee Onboarding, HR analytics, Employee Engagement, Performance and Learning Management, as well as Wellness and Fintech-enabled benefits.

Sprout Solutions will also absorb the Linnia team composed of software developers, engineers, and product managers. Integrating the platform and the team that built and manages it into the Sprout product team is hoped to accelerate tighter connectivity between the applications across the Sprout ecosystem, allowing HR administrators and employees to connect processes and data across multiple applications across the employee lifecycle, improving the overall user experience and the power of the Sprout ecosystem.
