TCL Electronics topped three key categories in global TV shipments in 2024, according to market research firm Omdia.
Omdia data showed TCL led worldwide shipments of 85-inch and larger TVs, taking 22.1% of the market. The company also ranked first in Mini LED TV shipments with a 28.8% share. TCL has also kept its lead in Google TV shipments globally from 2021 through 2024.
The growing interest in larger and clearer TVs comes as more people spend time at home. Omdia expects shipments of 80-inch and larger TVs to increase by 35% year-over-year and make up 7% of the total market in 2025. This share could reach 11% by 2030. Mini LED TV shipments are forecast to reach 9.3 million units by 2025, showing steady demand for this screen type.
Bringing better viewing experiences
To address the trend, TCL has been offering more ultra-large TVs using Mini LED technology. The company introduced the first Mini LED TV in 2019 and has since continued to develop its display features, including higher brightness, color range, and durability.

TCL’s long-term partnerships also contributed to its performance. The company works closely with Google to combine advanced TV hardware with the smart functions of Google TV, helping users enjoy more connected and easy-to-use systems at home.
