Globe Telecom (Globe) launched the first part of its “Telco 101” webinar series titled “Enabling the Digitally Connected Homes,” which sought to educate and empower property developers, partners handling residential projects, and homeowners on why internet connectivity is the new essential.
The telco’s subject matter experts updated the audience with the latest on Globe’s facility deployments in offices and homes (vertical or horizontal property), digital solutions, fiber-to-the-home broadband internet, and others.
“We need to work together better through early collaborations and ensure that all your properties are fiber ready,” said Issa Guevarra-Cabreira, chief commercial officer, Globe. “With fiber, we’re able to deliver a reliable internet enabling the digital world we live in today. We want the same thing, which is to provide a wonderful customer experience to your residents. We look forward to working with you on all your projects as we build together a #FirstWorldInternet for all of us.”

Aside from raising awareness, Globe also laid out its latest Globe At Home and KonekTayoWiFi promos and services to ensure that new homes have reliable, accessible, and affordable connectivity before a unit’s turnover. Homeowners who wish to start their own small business ventures were also given pointers in using cashless, safe, and secure transactions through GCash.
Technology trends
“We would like to serve our customers and partners well. Through the webinar series, we can share with them the latest trends we have seen in the new normal as well as the technologies needed to address these new behaviors. Moreover, we want to further strengthen our partnerships as we hear their insights and ideas during the session,” said Benjo Garcia, VP for Business Operations Strategy & Support, Globe.
Globe also reminded property owners, developers, and homeowners that it is better to install internet connectivity while the properties are still in the planning or under construction stage and not after a turnover to avoid incurring costly restorations, and other inconveniences.
The second and third parts of Globe’s “Telco 101” webinar series are scheduled for August and November this year.
