AI consultancy Thinking Machines Data Science (Thinking Machines) has entered into a regional collaboration with OpenAI to support the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) among enterprises in Asia Pacific (APAC).
As part of the partnership, Thinking Machines has been named OpenAI’s first official Services Partner in the region. The company will provide ChatGPT Enterprise training and Agentic AI implementation services to executives and organizations in the region.
With OpenAI’s support, Thinking Machines will roll out hands-on training programs, customized implementation frameworks, and the design and deployment of AI applications using OpenAI’s application programming interfaces (APIs).
“Through our collaboration with OpenAI, we are not just bringing in new technology but we are helping organizations build the skills, strategies, and support systems they need to take advantage of AI,” said Stephanie Sy, founder and CEO of Thinking Machines. “For us, it is about reinventing the future of work through human-AI collaboration and making AI truly work for people across the Asia Pacific Region.”
The partnership will also expand Thinking Machines’ executive enablement programs, building on its experience of having trained more than 10,000 professionals in the region. These programs aim to help business leaders create “AI second brains” that can be applied to improve productivity and decision-making.
The collaboration includes a wider set of enterprise-focused services such as leadership programs that focus on responsible AI implementation and governance frameworks. Thinking Machines and OpenAI will also provide end-to-end support for ChatGPT Enterprise adoption, including custom workflow design, system integration, and change management support.
Thinking Machines is also developing Agentic AI applications that use OpenAI’s APIs to align with each organization’s unique operations and goals. Both companies will also work on thought leadership initiatives, such as white papers, use cases, and industry roundtables tailored to the region’s cultural and business needs.
The program will initially roll out in Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand through Thinking Machines’ regional offices, with plans to expand across APAC.
