Tiny Buds has been named the No. 1 baby skin care brand on TikTok Shop, driven by its community-focused approach and use of livestream selling on the platform.

The Filipino, female-led brand has built a strong presence on TikTok Shop by creating authentic content and fostering trust among parents. Its livestreams and creator-led campaigns became key in shaping an online space where families felt supported.

“Tiny Buds is a perfect example of how a community-first brand can grow meaningfully on TikTok Shop,” said Franco Aligaen, marketing lead at TikTok Shop Philippines. “By consistently investing in engaging content and creator-driven livestreams, Tiny Buds became more than just a baby brand, they became a trusted village that supports parents in real and relatable ways.”

Tiny Buds began in 2009, created from a mother’s search for natural, safe products for her child. Since then, it has developed into a trusted name for Filipino families. Through TikTok Shop, it gained wider reach, especially among digital-first parents who preferred real-time engagement.

“We started early, so we had a stable following on TikTok Shop. We created fun, interesting, and informative content, one of which went viral in 2020,” said Lorin Tan, marketing head of Tiny Buds. “That moment really changed things for us. We realized that when a brand leads with honesty and connection, it can go far, not just in reach, but in relevance.”

The brand’s focus on livestream commerce produced measurable results. In the first quarter of 2024, Tiny Buds recorded a 29% increase in year-on-year sales, leading to its top ranking on TikTok Shop. Its content output grew by 61%, while livestream participation rose by 15%, showing more parents were actively engaging with the brand.

“Live selling connected us with our customers in such a unique way that no other channel has been able to, since we’re able to interact with them one by one,” said Lys Tan, channel head, e-commerce of Tiny Buds.

Beyond engagement, its campaigns also generated higher returns, with advertising revenue growing by 279%, showing how storytelling and authenticity translated into business results.
