The Department of Tourism (DOT) and travel online platform Klook Philippines have partnered to make the Philippine Experience Program (PEP) more accessible online, offering curated tour packages on Klook’s platform.
The PEP showcases cultural, heritage, and adventure tours across the country. The partnership with Klook, a travel and experience booking platform, also aims to enhance the digitalization of Philippine tourism.
The tours now available on Klook include the Culture, Heritage & Arts Tour in Calabarzon, featuring Pagsanjan Falls, Pinto Art Museum, and Villa Escudero. The Bicol tour highlights an ATV adventure to Mayon Volcano and local cuisine. In the Ilocos Region, visitors can explore the Unesco World Heritage City of Vigan, interact with locals, and try regional specialties.
Western Visayas’ offering includes a visit to Silay City, known for its Spanish-era houses and seafood. Palawan’s tour covers the Palawan Special Battalion WWII Memorial Museum, Binuatan Weaving Creation workshops, and the Butterfly Garden.
“With this partnership with Klook, the Philippine Experience Program will now be carried on the Klook platform,” said Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco. “Carrying the Philippine Experience Program on Klook will also equalize tourism opportunities among our destinations, which is the advocacy of the Department of Tourism.”
“At Klook, we believe there are countless adventures, unique experiences, and cultural treasures still waiting to be discovered,” said Eric Gnock Fah, president and co-founder of Klook. “We are excited to partner with the Department of Tourism to bring even more of these incredible experiences to Filipinos and travelers around the world.”
Klook will also continue regional roadshows to encourage travel operators to use its platform.
