Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) has virtually added thousands more deposit channels through partnerships with ECPay and international convenience store 7-Eleven.
ECPay, an all-in-one platform that offers different financial services, has over 8,000 partner branches across the country while 7-Eleven has more than 3,000 outlets, significantly growing UnionBank’s presence nationwide.
There will be no deposit fee in 7-Eleven branches while for ECPay partner branches, the transaction fee is waived until Dec. 31, 2020.

UnionBank cards business head Antonio Sebastian Corro said these tie-ups with ECPay partners and 7-Eleven provide added comfort and security to UnionBank clients amid the pandemic.
ECPay partners
In depositing cash to ECPay partners, UnionBank clients just need to go to CVM Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, Czarina Foreign Exchange, LCC Mall, or any other ECPay partner branch near them, fill out a payment slip, put UnionBank as the biller name with the account number, account name, and amount.
After which they submit payment slip to the counter, give cash for deposit, get a receipt indicating a successful transaction and then the amount will be instantly credited to their account. SMS notification will be sent as confirmation.
On the other hand at 7-Eleven, UnionBank customers just need to look for the CLiQQ machine and do the following simple steps:
- Select e-money and choose UnionBank
- Enter the transaction details (account number, account name and amount)
- Get the transaction receipt then scan and pay for it at the counter.
- The amount will then be credited instantly to their account, to be confirmed also by SMS notification.
