Ever thought about how tech and new ideas shape our future? Students from the UP Innovation Leaders’ Hub (UP NOVA) know exactly what you mean. If you are an innovation enthusiast or just curious about innovation thinking in general, you may want to learn more about it.
The University of the Philippines Innovation Leaders’ Hub (UP NOVA) is a newly founded, university-wide, student-led organization duly registered with the Office of Student Projects and Activities of the University of the Philippines Diliman. They are an organization that stands at the forefront of inclusive innovation for nation-building. UP NOVA is first and foremost a hub for inclusive and multidisciplinary student creativity, and skills training and development. It is open to both graduate and undergraduate students of UP Diliman.
To officially commemorate the establishment of their organization and to equip their members with the fundamental skills and training on innovation thinking, they launched their first flagship project entitled “The Youth Innovation Bootcamp 2024: Shaping Minds, Unleashing Breakthroughs” last March 2024.
The Youth Innovation Bootcamp is an integrated innovation thinking training program that will run until July 2024, with a forum series this May that will be made open to the public. Together with the Humanitarian Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and Design (HEED) initiative of the UP College of Engineering and the UPSCALE Innovation Hub of UP Diliman, UP NOVA announced the launch of their public seminars this May 3. The forums are modern, interactive, and engaging discussions facilitated by innovation-thinkers, mentors, and practitioners who will teach practical innovation-thinking tools and techniques to attendees.
