vivo PH 2025 Roundup

vivo Philippines marked its 10th anniversary in 2025, calling the year a turning point as the brand entered a new decade in the local market. The company said the milestone reflected a decade of building its presence in the country through smartphones, software updates, and partnerships focused on community engagement.

“Reaching 10 years in the Philippines is a proud moment for vivo. It’s a testament to the trust our users place in us and the strong community we’ve built together. We are excited to keep delivering innovation that inspires and connects our fans,” said Liu Lu, director for Brand Marketing at vivo Philippines.

Throughout 2025, vivo released new smartphones across its X, V, and Y series. The X Series led with the launch of the vivo X300 Series and the vivo X200 FE. These models focused on improved photography and performance, with vivo continuing its partnership with ZEISS for camera development. The lineup included the vivo X300 Pro, which introduced a 200MP telephoto camera developed with ZEISS.

The company also entered the foldable phone category in the Philippines with the launch of the vivo X Fold5. It was the first foldable smartphone from vivo available locally for users looking for a larger screen while keeping the device portable.

In the mid-range segment, vivo released the V50 and V60. The V60 marked the first time a V Series phone included a telephoto camera developed with ZEISS. vivo also introduced the V50 Lite and V60 Lite to offer lower-priced options while keeping basic performance and design features.

For entry-level users, the Y Series completed the year with the release of the Y04 Series, Y21d, and Y29. These models focused on battery life, durability, and basic camera functions for daily use.

“From flagship to entry-level, our 2025 lineup reflects vivo’s mission to provide innovation for every user. Whether you prioritize photography, performance, or everyday convenience, we want every device to empower our community to capture and share their moments,” Liu Lu said.

Beyond devices, vivo Philippines highlighted its partnerships, including its continued work with NBA Philippines. The company said these collaborations allowed fans to engage more closely with basketball through events and player appearances. vivo also confirmed that its 3×3 Basketball Challenge will continue in 2026.

On the software side, vivo rolled out OriginOS 6 to select devices in 2025. The update introduced interface changes, smoother navigation, and features such as One-Tap Transfer using NFC. The vivo X300 Series launched with OriginOS 6, while the V60 and V50 received the update later.

“OriginOS 6 represents our commitment to making every vivo device smarter, faster, and more intuitive for our users. We encourage everyone to update their phones and enjoy the seamless experience that brings convenience, creativity, and connectivity to everyday life,” Liu Lu said.

vivo Philippines said it plans to start 2026 with the launch of another V Series smartphone in the first quarter. The company also said it will continue focusing on community activities, photography features, and sports-related events as it moves into its second decade in the country.
