vivo offered a first look at its upcoming flagship smartphone, the X300 Ultra, during MWC Barcelona 2026, highlighting a new 400mm equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra and a set of professional camera accessories.

For the first time, vivo confirmed that the X300 Ultra will launch in global markets later this year. This signals the brand’s efforts to get ahead of the premium smartphone segment and the professional imaging space.

The 400mm equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra is marketed as a key part of the X300 Ultra’s photography system. Co-engineered with ZEISS, the lens is designed to meet APO imaging standards and supports up to 200MP optical output. vivo said the system can maintain image clarity even at a 1600mm digital crop.

The company also highlighted gimbal-grade optical image stabilization and motion-tracking focus technology to improve stability and subject tracking during long-range shooting. The telephoto system is designed to balance extended zoom capability with the phone’s overall structure and portability.

Alongside the telephoto extender, vivo introduced a pro-grade Camera Cage for the X300 Ultra. The expandable cage includes multiple cold shoe mounts and quick-release ports for accessories. A dual-hand grip is built in to support steadier handheld video recording.

vivo said the X300 Ultra builds on its long-term work in optics engineering, computational photography, and system optimization.

The cage also features dedicated physical buttons for shutter and zoom control, as well as an integrated multi-level cooling fan to help manage heat during extended video shoots. An External Lens Expansion Frame ensures compatibility with the telephoto extender.

vivo said the X300 Ultra builds on its long-term work in optics engineering, computational photography, and system optimization. By bringing the Ultra model to international markets, the company aims to make its advanced imaging tools available to a wider range of users.
