Xiaomi, Leica hold photography course

Xiaomi, a global technology brand, has officially launched the fourth season of the Xiaomi Master Class Supported by Leica, a series of online photography courses taught by Leica Akademie Instructors. 

This collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica brings Leica’s photography expertise and creative vision to a wider audience. The first offline course of this season was led by renowned Filipino photographers Jojo Gloria, Patrick Uy, and Melvin Anore.

Additional online courses will be available in the latter half of the year.

In May 2022, Xiaomi announced its Strategic Partnership in Imagery Technology with Leica. The partnership’s inaugural co-engineered product, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, was launched in July 2022. The product marked the beginning of a new chapter in mobile photography and set the stage for a fruitful collaboration between the two brands.

The Xiaomi Master Class Supported by Leica features renowned Filipino photographers Jojo Gloria, Patrick Uy, and Melvin Anore.

The Xiaomi Master Class series

The Xiaomi Master Class series exemplifies Xiaomi’s commitment to fostering creativity and artistic passion. Led by world-renowned photographers such as Matt Stuart, Charlie Clift, Hannah Reyes Morales, and Alan Schaller, the series offers participants from around the globe an opportunity to draw inspiration from masters and refine their photography skills.

The acclaimed Filipino photographer Jojo Gloria, an independent and Leica-certified photographer, Leica Philippines product specialist, and in-house instructor, kicked off the fourth season of Xiaomi Master Class. Gloria is renowned for his work in architecture, product and food photography, editorial shoots, and event coverage. Joining him were Patrick Uy, one of the most sought-after wedding photographers in the Philippines, and Melvin Anore, a visual storyteller specializing in street photography and social documentaries. Together, they shared valuable insights into their craft and demonstrated how one can leverage the Xiaomi 13 in their photography endeavors.

The Xiaomi Master Class program will also feature offline seminars held in select Xiaomi and Leica stores, as well as other locations worldwide. These seminars offer local Xiaomi fans the opportunity to participate in hands-on photography sessions led by renowned photographers.

Through this program, Xiaomi aims to provide an inclusive and interactive platform for both beginner and experienced photographers to explore and showcase their creativity through photography.
