ZTE Corp., a provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, and its fiber broadband partner Converge ICT Solutions Inc., have officially unveiled the WiFi7 ONU, marking its debut in Southeast Asia (SEA). The unveiling took place during the ZTE Day exhibition, themed ‘Unfolding the Intelligent Future.’

During the exhibition, ZTE showcased a comprehensive range of ICT products and solutions, including 5G wireless, transmission, fixed network, maintenance solutions, and terminals. In his opening speech, Huang Lisheng, chief marketing officer of ZTE Southeast Asia MKT Department, highlighted ZTE’s ongoing collaboration with Philippine operators to enhance ICT infrastructure and expand the application scenarios of digital intelligence. Lisheng reaffirmed ZTE’s commitment to delivering an exceptional network experience to users.

ZTE and Converge plan to collaborate on expanding the commercial presence of WiFi7 technology, aiming to significantly advance local network infrastructure. ZTE continues to play a crucial role as a key partner, supplying Converge with Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) products.

“As we move forward into the future, let’s embrace change and progress, knowing that with every step we take, we are moving closer to our progressive future,” said Benedicto Bulatao, president and COO of Converge’s parent company Comclark. 

He emphasized the importance of harnessing the rapid changes in the digital and ICT industry to drive progress for all Filipinos.

The event featured sessions on global technology trends, including RAN superior efficiency, terabit-era transport networks, FTTx evolution, extensive computing infrastructure, green site and energy, intelligent modular data centers, and new smart home solutions. ZTE’s latest technologies and solutions were tailored to meet the needs of Converge, with the goal of boosting the telco’s brand value.
