Real estate experts highlighted the ongoing diversification of the Philippine property market during the Asia Connect Manila event, which marked the launch of the 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards.

Held at the Garden Pavilion in Grand Hyatt Manila, the event brought together economic and real estate professionals to discuss key factors shaping the industry. The awards will recognize achievements in property development, architecture, and design in 2025.

The awards timeline includes the entry deadline on June 6, site inspections from June 23 to July 11, final judging on July 14, and a gala dinner and awards ceremony on Aug. 15 in Manila. Winners will advance to the regional Grand Final in Bangkok on Dec. 12.

“Our categories continue to reflect changing Filipino consumer preferences—from the shift toward suburban developments in provinces to the demand for immersive retail spaces,” said Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events.

Introducing new award categories

This year, PropertyGuru introduces new award categories, including Best Township Developer, Best Community Developer, and Best Mega Township Development. Other additions include Best Oceanview Condo Development, Best Multigeneration Living Condo Development, and Best Renovated Residential Development.

A total of 123 categories will be awarded in the Philippines this year.

The 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards winners will be announced during a gala dinner at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, in August. Top winners will compete for regional titles at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in December.

Last year, the Philippines had 12 regional wins. Henry T. Sy, Jr. of SM Prime Holdings and SM Development Corporation was recognized as the PropertyGuru Icon.

The event is organized by PropertyGuru Group, with support from sponsors such as Kohler Kitchen and Bath Philippines and Pacific Paint (BOYSEN) Philippines.
