The hit Netflix series “Squid Game” has made its mark globally, inspiring real-world interactive experiences in several countries, including the Philippines. Fans of the Korean thriller-drama can now try their hand at some of the show’s iconic challenges, without the life-or-death stakes.

And so once again, we are here for our kababayans, breathing the hit show to life through interactive activations at our stores across the country,” said Patrick Tang, first vice president for PLDT Home Acquisition Marketing. “We can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the experience as they check out more unli entertainment options that come with our PLDT Home Fiber Netflix plans.”

Here are five real-life “Squid Game” experiences around the world that fans can explore.

Seoul, South Korea
As the birthplace of “Squid Game,” Seoul hosted Squid Game: The Experience, a Netflix-built installation that gave fans a chance to walk through the show’s set. Although the exhibit has concluded, the city remains a destination for fans. Visitors can also explore popular sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Namsan Tower, and traditional Hanok villages.

London, United Kingdom
London offers Squid Game: The Challenge at Immerse LDN, blending a live experience with the Netflix reality series. Fans can compete in games like Red Light, Green Light, Marbles, and Memory Steps to see if they can outwit others in a test of skill and strategy.

New York, United States
At the Manhattan Mall, “Squid Game” enthusiasts can still participate in challenges including Red Light, Green Light, Glass Bridge, and Warships. Afterward, visitors can enjoy Korean food and soju cocktails at the Night Market and shop for themed merchandise.

Sydney, Australia
In Sydney, fans can try classic games such as Red Light, Green Light, Marbles, and Glass Bridge at Squid Game: The Experience. Afterward, they can explore Sydney’s landmarks, including the Opera House, Bondi Beach, and the Harbour Bridge.

Philippines
Filipino fans can experience “Squid Game” locally through PLDT Home’s store takeovers starting this July. PLDT Home Fiber applicants can join a six-game pentathlon for a chance to win ₱5,000, playing safe versions of the series’ well-known challenges at select PLDT Stores. These include branches in SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM SouthMall, SM Lipa, SM Baguio, SM Seaside Cebu, and Abreeza Mall Davao.

Those who sign up for a PLDT Home Fiber Netflix Plan 1599 during the events can also receive a free green tracksuit set from Puma, inspired by the outfits worn by the show’s characters.

The PLDT Home campaign coincides with “Squid Game Season 3,” now streaming, and highlights its Netflix bundles, offering subscribers access to more streaming entertainment along with high-speed internet. Interested customers can visit any PLDT store nationwide to apply.
