Metrobank has rolled out new designs for two of its popular credit cards, the Metrobank M Free Mastercard and Metrobank Cashback Visa, while keeping the existing benefits for cardholders.

The redesign gives the cards a fresh appearance without changing their key features, making the update more about the physical cards than changes to their rewards or fees.

The M Free Mastercard continues to offer no annual fee for life, a feature aimed at customers who want to avoid recurring credit card fees.

The Metrobank Cashback Visa, meanwhile, continues to offer cash rebates on everyday spending. Cardholders can get 5% rebates on groceries and telco spending, plus a 0.2% rebate on other retail purchases.

The card offers up to ₱12,000 in rebates per year, giving consumers another way to reduce the cost of regular household and communication expenses.

For Philippine consumers, the cashback feature is particularly relevant as groceries and telecommunications are recurring expenses for most households. The higher rebate rate on these categories means cardholders can potentially earn more from spending they already make regularly.

Metrobank said customers who apply for the cards now may be among the first to receive the new designs.

Some Metrobank pages may still show the previous card designs. The bank said the latest designs will be issued upon approval.
