Customers can now support reforestation efforts through their everyday purchases as Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank) partners with Mastercard for the Priceless Causes initiative.
As part of Philippine Environment Month this June 2026, Metrobank debit and credit Mastercard cardholders can help plant trees through their regular transactions. For every ₱2,000 spent using a Metrobank Mastercard on June 30, one tree will be planted on the customer’s behalf.
The initiative will continue beyond the environmental campaign period. From June 30 to Dec. 31, 2026, Mastercard credit cardholders can also convert their rewards points into environmental contributions through the Metrobank App and SMS. Every 8,000 rewards points can be redeemed to plant four trees.
The tree-planting activities are managed and guided by Conservation International, a global nonprofit organization that works on environmental protection through science, policy, and conservation programs.

Mastercard’s Priceless Causes initiative connects consumers, financial institutions, and organizations to support social and environmental programs. Through the partnership, Metrobank customers can participate in sustainability efforts without making major changes to their usual spending habits.
The program supports Metrobank’s efforts to integrate sustainability into customer experiences by giving cardholders a simple way to contribute to environmental projects while using their cards for daily needs.
Cardholders can participate by using their Metrobank debit or credit Mastercard for purchases or by redeeming rewards points through the Metrobank App.
