917Ventures, the venture builder and innovation arm of Globe, has joined the GSMA Open Gateway, integrating Concati, its API marketplace, into the global initiative. The move supports the creation of a common interoperable network using open standard interfaces.
Concati, the latest addition to 917Ventures’ portfolio, helps developers and businesses access various APIs, making it easier to use and monetize digital tools. This supports faster innovation and business growth across different sectors.
“Concati is more than just an API marketplace — it’s a catalyst for transformation,” said Vince Yamat, managing director of 917Ventures. “By partnering with GSMA Open Gateway, we are not only extending our capabilities beyond our walls but also contributing to a global framework that prioritizes interoperability, innovation, and seamless connectivity.”
The GSMA Open Gateway brings together mobile network operators representing over 75% of mobile connections worldwide. It aims to build an open, scalable digital environment for businesses and developers.
Helping shape API standardization
“This partnership aligns perfectly with GSMA Open Gateway’s vision of creating a harmonized, interoperable network that enables new digital services at scale. Concati’s robust platform and 917Ventures and Globe’s extensive technical ecosystem position us to drive substantial innovation and growth,” said Julian Gorman, head of Asia Pacific at the GSMA.
Through the partnership, 917Ventures collaborates with 34 existing partners in the Channel Partner workstream, contributing to product, technical, and business aspects to help shape API development and standardization.
By working with the GSMA Open Gateway, 917Ventures expands its reach in the global API economy.
