Acer has maintained its position as the Philippines’ top laptop brand, extending its market leadership to 20 consecutive years while continuing to dominate both the consumer and gaming laptop segments.

According to Nielsen-GfK data covering the first five months of 2026, Acer accounted for 37% of the consumer laptop market and 34.5% of the gaming laptop market in the Philippines. The latest figures build on the company’s record performance in 2025, when it reached a 37.3% share of the consumer laptop market.

The latest sales data follows Acer’s milestone of being the country’s No. 1 laptop brand for 20 straight years, from 2006 to 2025, based on the IDC Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The continued lead comes as demand for laptops remains strong among students, professionals, gamers, and businesses, making the Philippine PC market one of the more competitive consumer technology segments.

“These achievements are deeply meaningful to us as we celebrate Acer’s 50th anniversary,” said Sue Ong-Lim, managing director of Acer Philippines. “They reflect our strong commitment to our mission of breaking barriers between people and technology, one that has guided our innovations for five decades.”

Beyond selling laptops, Acer said it has focused on expanding its retail presence, strengthening after-sales support, and building customer engagement through community programs.

Among these initiatives is Acer Day, now in its 10th year, which combines technology with entertainment and lifestyle activities to connect with consumers. The company also continues to host the Asia Pacific Predator League, now in its eighth year, to support the region’s growing esports community.

Acer is also investing in education through the Acer Edu Summit, which brings together educators, policymakers, and technology leaders to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital tools can improve learning.

This year also marks Acer’s 50th anniversary as a technology company. The company said it remains focused on making technology more accessible while continuing to expand its presence in the Philippine market.
