ACMobility, a mobility solutions provider, has acquired Evro, an electric vehicle (EV) charging network developed by Globe’s 917Ventures. Evro offers a brand-neutral platform aimed at simplifying EV charging for Filipino drivers.

“We built Evro with the intention of simplifying Filipino EV owners’ charging journeys,” Vince Yamat, managing director of 917Ventures, said in a media release. “Entrusting Evro to ACMobility ensures it will continue to evolve and contribute to the advancement of sustainable transport.”

ACMobility’s acquisition of Evro is expected to enhance services for EV users, especially for drivers navigating areas outside urban centers.

“Evro is changing the game for electric vehicle adoption in the Philippines,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility. “It will address range anxiety concerns and empower EV owners to have full control of their charging experience.”

Evro is the Philippines’ only Department of Energy-recognized app for EV charging. It consolidates charging networks across different operators, making them more accessible. Users can locate nearby charging stations, monitor charging progress remotely, and pay cashlessly using GCash or credit cards.

At present, Evro operates 33 charging stations in key locations such as One Bonifacio High Street, Ayala Center Cebu, and Baguio Ayala Technohub. The app also plans to expand its network by onboarding more Charge-Point Operators.

“The collaboration with 917Ventures and the Globe Group has been invaluable as we build a sustainable future for Filipino motorists together,” said Zobel de Ayala.
